Endeavor Catalyst's Fund V: Capped Co-Invest, Not a Lead

Endeavor Catalyst's Fund V: Capped Co-Invest, Not a Lead

A $320 million close with a narrow brief: join institutional-led rounds of $5 million or more, on the lead's terms, generally for 10% or less.

Endeavor Catalyst's $320 million Fund V is a capped co-investor, not a lead: it joins institutional-led rounds of at least $5 million, on the lead's terms, generally for no more than 10% of the round. For founders, Fund V access depends first on Endeavor network selection, then on landing a lead.

Endeavor Catalyst has closed its fifth fund at $320 million, and the terms matter more than the size. According to Wamda, the fund does not lead rounds: it joins rounds already led by an institutional investor, on that lead's terms, and generally for no more than a tenth of the round. For founders in MENA, Europe and beyond, the practical question is what that structure asks of them before a cheque is possible.

The fund by the numbers

Wamda reports that Fund V is the firm's largest to date, lifting assets under management above $850 million. It drew about 400 limited partners, including Reid Hoffman, Bill Ackman, Prosus and founders of Nubank, Revolut, Checkout.com and Careem. The fund plans up to 150 companies, typically at $1 million to $3 million each. Pulse 2.0 independently confirms the $320 million close and the $850 million figure.

The co-investment rules are the founder-relevant detail

Wamda lists the conditions: an institutional investor must lead, the round must total at least $5 million, the fund invests on the same terms as the lead, and its share is generally limited to 10% of an individual round. The company must also first be selected into Endeavor's network. The effect is that the lead's price and diligence come first, and Fund V cannot be used to anchor a round.

Where the money has gone so far

Wamda names Replit, Moove, Preply, Cashea, Respond.io, EnduroSat, HappyRobot and Lunar Outpost as Fund V deployments. Pulse 2.0 confirms only EnduroSat, founded in Bulgaria, and HappyRobot, founded by Spanish entrepreneurs, and reports more than 90 European investments across 10 markets. It adds that 12 companies were backed through European offices in the first half of 2026, versus 14 in all of 2025 and seven in 2024.

What the Europe push signals

Pulse 2.0 quotes Pete Benedetto, Head of Europe for Endeavor Catalyst: "We are doubling down on Europe with Fund V". Constanza Castro Feijoo, Managing Director of Endeavor's Global Hub in London, is quoted as saying "Fund V puts more of that capital within reach". The reported deal count supports the direction of travel, though neither source discloses how Fund V is split by region.

Verdict: a useful second cheque, not a route into a round

Founders should treat Fund V as a follow-on opportunity for companies already in Endeavor's network, not as a fundraising strategy. A cheque of $1 million to $3 million, capped near 10% of a round, adds modest capital behind a lead that must already exist. Neither source quantifies what the network adds to outcomes, so that benefit remains unproven. The sequence is the lesson: secure the lead first, then ask about the co-investor.
